My drill design interests began in high school when I learned how to navigate Pyware 5. Writing for a local high school with just some letters on a grid screen was a very humble beginning. In college, I was able to take a drill writing class with the Director of the Penn State Blue Band, Dr. Gregory Drane. This class took my drill writing skills to the next level with newer technology and higher visual and design demands.
While also being a middle school band director, I began professionally writing drill for competitive high school bands. Since starting grad school full time, I have still been maintaining these clients (and new ones) while also writing drill for the Penn State Blue Band. Drill writing is more than just a hobby for me; it is truly a passion. I believe the best work gets done when you’re also able to enjoy doing it.
